Better Late Than Never

We're back!
Since our first, and only posting, a lot has happened to Grandpa and GaGa. Grandpa has been traveling almost weekly to Texas, Florida or Virginia. It's not easy traveling that much on an old man but the frequent flyer miles are good. GaGa has taken several trips as well. She went to Atlanta when Jim (Bozo) went through the temple for the first time and also visited her sister Faye in Columbus fora week That along with trips to Salt Lake and Las Vegas has kept her busy as well.

And, as you can see from the picture we spent a week in Hawaii with our good friends John and Sandy Matsushita. They have a time share on the Kona side of the Big Island and we spent the week relaxing, sightseeing, swimming, sunbathing, eating and I had a few beers along the way. It was the sixth trip to the Islands for Grandpa and GaGa and we're making plans to go again next year. Anyone up for going with us?

For Thanksgiving we stayed at home and were fortunate enough to have Rick, Denise, Emily, Kelsea, Amber, Lindsay, Jayne and Jared visit us for a week. Also at our Thanksgiving table this year were Francis, Judy and Haley Rowland. They along with the Matsushitas have been our good friends for a lot of years. During the week Rick and I played racquetball a couple of times and there is no question that Grandpa has lost a few steps over the years. Rick beat me pretty soundly and I'm now suffering from a knee that will probably need scoped and maybe an operation. Your right, I should know better! Speaking of injuries, GaGa tripped during a recent visit to Stacy's new house and sprained (or broke) her ankle. She's hoping that it will heal without a cast or doctors visit but may have to break down and go have it x-rayed.

Okay, I guess you are wondering who the three ladies are in this picture. I'll give you the answer in the next Blog but I'll also send a special gift to the person who can get all three correct.

In closing, our love to all of you. We have a very special family and one that each of us should be grateful for. There isn't a day that goes by that Grandpa and GaGa don't talk about their kids, their spouses and their grandkids. We love each and everyone of you very much and are truly looking forward to having everyone together this Christmas in Salt Lake.

Our 40th Wedding Anniversary

Okay, this is our Blog and we're going to use it! At the same time we're going to keep up with Ken and Kristen's blog along with the Hardman family. We are very impressed with both of them and it shows what great skills Kristen and Julie have when it comes to the computer.

This past weekend we went to Las Vegas and spent two nights at the Trump Plaza thanks to a gift from Ken/Kristen and Rick/Denise. Dinner was provided through a gift from Julie/Dustin and Stacy/Ben. Our sincere thanks to all of you.

The highlight of the night (while the lights were on) was seeing Donnie and Marie. What a great show and one that we would recommend to all of you. Take your spouse for a very enjoyable, clean show with great music and dancing. Grandpa Dave got up close and personal with Marie and got to shake hands with her as she moved through the audience. GaGa was jealous, and upset that she didn't get to do the same to Donnie. Anyway we had a great time and our thanks again to all of you.

The pictures are ones we took before leaving the room. We would have taken one together but Grandpa Dave couldn't figure out how to work the timer on the camera. In fact, this next pictures shows Grandpa Dave trying to get in the picture before the timer went off!
